Flowers!

And CAKE.... and More Suits.....

The Crocus are starting to bloom in my RL Garden! This, Dear Readers, is ASTONISHINGLY Early! We normally still have snow on the ground for several more weeks! But it is very warm this week... and the first flowers, tiny little BRAVE blossoms are opening to the sunshine and calling to the bees! Spring is Early, it seems! (I THOUGHT this was going to be a Winter Wedding!) But these tiny little blossoms have reminded me that I have ANOTHER Big task to accomplish before the Wedding is Ready to commence..... The FLOWERS!!!!

But BEFORE I get to the flowers, let me reassure you that there Will be Refreshments too! The Caterers are Preparing the Cake..... and here I will give you a Sneak Preview..... it is not finished.... so you might not even recognize it when they are done decorating it!

Ah, this is a slightly better view!
(Observant people will recognize this as a Dollar Store Wedding Favor! :))

And IF you were wondering if I had Finished all the suits yet.......
I'm getting closer... but not done....
Chip has his Tuxedo.....
But without a complete shirt..... only a Dickie (False shirtfront)

But I made the jacket just like Arthur's.....
Sleeves first....

Then the rest..... even buttons!
I think it was a little bit quicker this time around......
but still took HOURS!

And Harold is getting a False shirtfront too.......
I still have to make his jacket......

All I can say is there better not be any more Male guests needing jackets!

(Sorry to keep you waiting, Harold!)

But I MUST get started on the Flowers!!!!

I started with a selection of Ribbon Roses..... bought for decorating wedding favors.
I glued stems to some and then trimmed off most of the green ribbon "leaves" which didn't look enough like leaves in my opinion!

Bunched together with some other tiny white clustered "blossoms" ....
I bought a bunch of plastic flowers that had tiny blossoms that might be the right size.....

And some antique velveteen "leaves" and some plastic "Ferns".......
Can you tell that I don't know WHAT I am doing??????

I Don't have any flower making skills... nor any kits... nor TIME......
So we will just Have to make do with these Not-to-scale blossoms!

That was when I realized I really should just Hire a Pro!
And so I went down to "Fleur's."
She assures me she does weddings all the time!

She has a lovely little shop tucked into the corner of an old Warehouse......

She gets the freshest blossoms.....

In all the most Beautiful colors.......

And she knows ALL the Bouquet styles and the methods to assemble them!

She was Thrilled to take on the Job!!!

Even at the Last minute!
I will leave her to her work.....
She has Wonderful ideas!

I can't wait to see what she comes up with!
I LOVE Flowers!

Bridal Shower!

Did You Remember There's Going To Be A Wedding?

But BEFORE there can be a Wedding, Dear Readers, there are Million and One Things to Do! And not the least of these is have a Bridal Shower! So Pollyanna's Sister, Sally May, has decided to Host the Shower at her home.... even though she feels it is a Woefully Inadequate Venue for such a gathering! But since it is really just for Family and close Friends she has overcome her reluctance and opened her doors. She hopes Nobody will mind the horrid old floors and ratty wallpaper and even the gaping Holes where windows should be! Chip has Assured her that these glaring faults will ALL be mended... but nobody can do it all in a day! She Hopes that her Guests will not mind! She has laid out her china and the CAKE on her Very Nice dining table...... she wishes she had more to offer.... Annabelle is helping her to get ready.....

The guests are waiting in the Parlor.......

Sally May wants Pollyanna to start unwrapping her gifts......

There are Quite a few!

Annabelle is wondering when it will be Time for CAKE!

Pollyanna has unwrapped a Lovely Blue China Tea Set!

Sally May has found an extra table to display the gifts......

Oh LOOK! She has been given a Blender and A Coffee Maker!!!

(These are Refrigerator magnets I collected a LONG time ago!)

And here are a few more lovely gifts....
A prettily painted glass Decanter... a set of wooden salad bowls.....
Oh, and an old fashioned Waffle Iron!!!

See the waffle Iron...
it hinges open and can be set on top of a hot stove or fire.....

Oh, and she has some lovely blue Spatter ware....
a set of dishes and some pots and pans....

And of COURSE there is a Toaster!
And a Lovely painting
and a Beautiful Tree of Life Wall Hanging......

Of course, there are MORE gifts...
but I am SURE you are like everybody else....
you are ready for some CAKE and Tea....

Everyone gathers in the Dining room...
even the Latecomers.....
Pollyanna's friend Cherie and Great Aunt Agatha......

Annabelle is hoping it is Finally Time for CAKE.....

"Please".....(she says...)
"I want some CAKE!"

"Annabelle...!" says Sally May..."Guests first!"

"I agree with Annabelle" says Joanna...
"I want some CAKE too!"

I hope you will forgive me, Dear Readers, for leaving you there.... hungry for CAKE ... watching the late afternoon sunshine find it's way into Sally May's dining room... but there is just SO MUCH to do! I must find or MAKE a Priest for the Wedding ceremony..... and all the decorations... flowers, tables, CAKE...... Not to mention the GOWNS! Everybody, it seems, will need a New Fancy outfit! And the men ALL need Suits!!!! I REALLY didn't think this through when Arthur proposed to Pollyanna a year ago.... yes, already a Year ago on Valentine's Day!
HAPPY VALENTINES DAY!
I should have told them to Elope!!!!
But then we would have missed ALL the fun......
(I do LOVE to sew!!!)
I have started to sew the Wedding Gown
(almost completed as of this Post!).......
Would you like a Sneak preview....?

Isn't it Beautiful?

You're Invited!

A Little Surprise!

Imagine my SURPRISE, ;) Dear Readers, when I came down to my kitchen this morning and found this tiny note propped against my tea mug! I almost overlooked it, except that the TABLE was clean so it was clearly visible against my dirty mug left from the night before....! I opened it straight away, and this is what I found inside......

In case you cannot read the tiny print, I will tell you that it says:
"Dear Daydreamer,
Please join me to look at sites for weddings.
Let's meet at the Castle.
Yours, Pollyanna."

Oh, how SWEET, I thought! This will be really FUN! We can start to plan the wedding right away (so I have an idea of what I am getting in for....!) and she can let me know what sort of things SHE'S thinking of! This WAS going to be fun!
But since she hadn't mentioned a time to meet (Does TIME matter to the dolls?) I decided to have my tea and run a few errands first. Then I would be free to spend all the time necessary just planning weddings! But one thing led to another and before I knew it it was getting LATE! So I hurried on over to the CASTLE!
Guard Ian met me at the door.....

I could hear all sorts of Noise coming from INSIDE the Great Hall..... That's funny, I thought, Pollyanna didn't mention other people coming to look too...... The Hall was ALL lit up! And FULL of people....
Why, it looked as though MOST of the Dolls had gathered..... and were sitting at tables....

And then I looked up and saw Henry motioning to me and saying "We saved you the BEST Seat over here!"

It was then that I noticed a Banner overhead that said "HAPPY"........ That's a nice touch, I thought........

Then I saw the OTHER Banner, right over my head, that said "BIRTHDAY"....... Oh, how SWEET, they're having a Birthday party, thought I........

And THEN I heard them shouting "SURPRISE!" And "Happy Birthday, Daydreamer!"

WHAT? A SURPRISE Birthday Party For ME?
Oh My! OH MY! I NEVER would have imagined this!

But HOW did they know when my Birthday was, I wondered? When I asked Pollyanna she said she heard from Arthur...... He said to Plan a Party at the Castle for Daydreamer's Birthday.........

When I asked Arthur he said Ken had told him we needed to get ready for a Party at the Castle for Daydreamer's Birthday........

When I asked Ken, he said he heard from Guard Ian that there was going to be a Party for Daydreamer's Birthday and we'd better get ready......
When I asked Guard Ian how he knew he said he'd heard from Kix the Stable Boy that the Daydreamer was having a Birthday Party at the Castle and we'd better be ready.....
And when I asked Kix, he shrugged his shoulders and said he'd heard from Henry that there was going to be a Birthday Party at the Castle for daydreamers........

And when I asked Henry he said Belle had told HIM She'd had a daydream that there was going to be a Party at the Castle for Someone's Birthday........
And when I asked Belle, SHE said she'd heard OLD MEG say "Beware! The Birth this Day of Dreams! There will be a Party at the Castle! Beware!"
Ah, Old Meg! Old Meg KNOWS things........

Even though she never leaves her hearth.....

But Belle was much more interested in the porcelain plate in front of her than in any old sayings from Old Meg...... she has Never seen such plates before!
And now that the Party was truly happening..... people were starting to eat and make merry!
It looks like Chip has had enough to eat for now.....

And the littlest children are starting to get restless..... they are pestering their parents......

The Time Traveling Ladies are even here! They look so Lovely in their gowns!

And Helen and Charles are having a good time too..... is Charles about to make a speech?

But wait, WHAT has caught Henry's attention...? He looks Astounded...!?

Oh My GOODNESS! Look what they have brought in!

A Huge (Little) Birthday Cake just for Me!

So, did I make a wish before I blew out the Candle? .....

Of Course I did! But I can't tell you WHAT I wished because that would break the spell....!

Can we EAT the cake now? The children are wondering...?
( They have never SEEN so MUCH Cake!)
Yes, Please! Have some Cake! You Too, all my Dear friends in Blogland!

You ARE Invited!

(Even though my real birthday is tomorrow....
it is a work day so we had the party a day early!
I AM SO glad you could come!)
